Applications for a doctorate in management science are now being accepted for the Doctoral School for Management Science in Toulouse.
The Doctoral School for Management Science is one of only four French doctoral schools dedicated to management science. It unites three management research laboratories in the Midi-Pyrénées region: Center for Research in Management (UMR 5303 CNRS / IAE-UT1), the Laboratoire Gouvernance et Contrôle Organisationnel (Université Paul Sabatier) and the TBS Research Centre (Toulouse Business School).
A limited number of doctoral contracts are available to finance the PhD.
The contract to fund a doctorate is a standardized contract for all French higher learning institutions, as stipulated in Décret no 2009-464 du 23 avril 2009. Signed by the Toulouse 1 Capitole University and the doctoral candidate, it finances the doctorate for three years. The gross salary is 1684.92€ without a teaching load or 2024.70€ with a teaching load of 64 hours per year.
Successful candidates will have
-a Master’s degree (or equivalent) that included research methodology courses for management, economics, or maths
-a research proposal
-a thesis advisor
A strong academic background is the first admission criteria. The doctoral contracts are attributed to candidates who intend to pursue a career in higher education.
Candidates who do not wish to apply for a doctoral contract must provide evidence of other funding: foreign scholarship, CIFRE, employment, etc.
