photocuring membranes to developp innovative Li-ions battery : study of membranes interfaces - Electrodes and aging : stability and cyclability
Université de Toulon, toulon
Laboratoire des MAtériaux, Polymères, Interfaces et Environnement Marin
Macromolecular Chemistry Polymer
Full Description:

This PhD program will be heald at MAPIEM laboratory in Toulon (France) and in collaboration with polymer department of politecnico instituto of Turin (Italy).

Mapiem laboratory developp the characterization of interphases at nanometric scale (mechanical property by AFM) and nanothermal analysis (heating tips).

The developpement of new polyelectroytes membranes with gradient and nanostructures properties to the electrodes. Membranes will be prepared by UV curing of oligomers (for example bloc copolymers) associated with nanoparticules in situ synthesize. To evaluate the nanometric organization, the PhD student will characterize thermal properties at nanoscale (nanoTA) and mechanicals one (AFM) of the membranes and the interphases with electrodes under operating cyclic charge-discharge battery

The local properties mapping from electrodes to the membrane core afford us to design supramolecular tp improve Li-ions battery cyclability

Then, PhD will seek to mapp the local thermo-mechanical properties at nano and microscale using available techniques at MAPIEM laboratory : AFM, nanothermal analysis, FT-IR, Raman, DMA, DEA.

Only student with their own PhD grants can apply.
