In vitro Identification of biomarkers of exposure to nanoparticles in a murine model

Full Description:

Context

This project is part of a twelve-partners European consortium entitled « SmartNanoTox » started in march 2016.

The development and validation of an effective and reliable predictive model should be based on a detailed understanding of interactions of nanomaterials (NM) with various components of the biological systems and on identifying the specific properties of NM that are relevant to such interactions. The specific aim of this project will be to identify key events (KE) and
adverse outcome pathways (AOP) according to the actual laboratory standards in toxicology.

 
Aim of the thesis

The work will consist in the in vitro evaluation of toxicological properties of nanoparticles chosen by the consortium. This evaluation will be as follow:

* physicochemical analysis of the nanoparticles

* classical studies of toxicity (viability, internalization, flow cytometry,…) on an alveolar murine
macrophage cell line.

* Trancriptomic studies of the exposed cells to identify KE and AOP.

 
Salary will be about 1685 euros gross monthly for 3 years.

 

Start of the project for the candidate will be the first of October 2016.

Application should be send mandatory before the 1st of July 2016

 

Candidate profile

Master 2, validated or to be validated before July 2016

Skilled (preferably with a strong toxicological background) in :
* Cellular biology (cell culture),

* Molecular biology (RNA extraction, real time pcr, microarray),

* biochemistry (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA),

* a strong interest for bio-informatic and data analysis.
